High-performance, secure, remote management solutions are essential for any government or military agency. They allow you to extend the reach, reliability, and speed of your communications, especially those involving video, maps, radar, or sonar. These technologies help to ensure that your IT infrastructure is always operating at its highest level while providing unparalleled security. Remote management solutions are routinely used in a variety of areas outside IT departments, including labs, control rooms, situation rooms, and in the field, increasing their value and versatility.
KVM-over-IP Switches with User Station
The Dominion KX III series is a family of KVM-over-IP switches that replace Raritan’s Paragon II series, which is being discontinued the end of 2017. The Paragon system has been heavily used by government and military agencies. These switches connect to a maximum of 8 to 64 multi-platform servers, depending on the specific model. They also support a range of analog and digital video formats, including DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI, and VGA. The KX III boasts leading security technology features that include FIPS 140-2, IPv6, LDAP/AD authentication and Smart Card/CAC.
The Dominion KX III series includes a complementary IP user station, which provides high-performance access to servers in control rooms, situation rooms, and labs. The User Station can stream two 1080p video sessions at 30 frames-per-second (FPS) in 24-bit color. It also supports at least eight simultaneous IP sessions and a productive graphic user interface (GUI) across one or two monitors. Check this webpage to see why you should consider upgrading to an IP based KVM switch if you’re still using a traditional analog KVM.
Serial Console Servers
The Dominion SX II series of serial console servers offer high-performance serial processing from a powerful hardware platform. They provide access to 4 to 48 serial devices, including routers, switches, servers, power distribution units (PDUs), and other types of wireless telecom equipment. These models allow emergency access during network outages with features such as a dual power supply, dual LAN, and options for emergency access by telephone or cellular modem. Dominion SX II console servers also have an option for a Java-free web browser to perform remote access and management.
Centralized Server Management
The CommandCenter Secure Gateway (CC-SG) series is an all-in-one appliance that allows you to manage Dominion devices and many other IT devices from a single system. They provide access to hundreds or even thousands of physical and virtual devices, including KVM switches, PCs, servers and serial consoles. The CC-SG series also supports remote access and power control through web browsers as well as IP tools, and service processors such as HP® iLO, Dell® DRAC, IBM® RSA II and IMM, IPMI, RDP, VNC, SSH, and Telnet.
The PX series of intelligent PDUs for remote power management is essential for many IT and communication applications. This video shows how intelligent PDUs can help you to meet those challenges head-on.
Our line of rack transfer switches and other power distribution products also improve the reliability of single-power supply devices. Furthermore, our environmental monitoring solutions will improve your infrastructure’s overall reliability and efficiency.
