Glad to hear that you were able to get it working.

The 1.6.0_29 version of JRE changed some code that gave our systems difficulties. There is a new version of JRE 1.6.0_30 that avoids this problem.

And typically after that I tried any and every option i could and disabling "Apply Encryption Mode to KVM and Virtual Media " under security fixed it for me.
That was my only complaint with the raritan KX-II, great device otherwise, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I'm a little disappointed that even after updating to the 2.4 release I still cant use Java 1.6.0_29 on my Mac (OSX 10.6) Currently at work we have to have a windows server with a non updated java version to make sure we can use this KVM. Its a great piece of kit otherwise.

It is documented in several places on the website, in the blog post and in our documentation, but I will look into updating the website to make this more clear. Thanks for your suggestion.

Well isn't that a bummer! The claim that you can use your iPad/iPhone is a tad misleading. You guys should make a notation that CC-SG is needed on the website documentation.

Some further information:

With the CC-SG documentation, look at page 5, Access from a Mobile Device, and page 29, Connecting to Nodes Using a Mobile Device.

Hi Josh,

Our centralized management system, CC-SG Release 5.2, is required for the iPhone/iPad access. CC-SG contains the service that implements this access. No iPhone/iPad App is required.

The basic instruction is to use the Safari browser with the IP address of the CC-SG. This will run the CC-SG Access Client. Your Dominion KX II connected servers/PC's are accessible as out-of-band interfaces.

Documentation is available in the CC-SG user guide: http://www.raritan.com/support/commandcenter-secure-gateway/v5.2.0/user-guides/

Hope that helps.

I'm really excited to use an iPhone/iPad with the new firmware but I can't figure out how in the world to do it! I've upgraded to 2.4. There is no app for it. Going to the device in Safari just tells me I have java disabled and won't let me in, just like it used to. I've searched ALL OVER raritan's documentation and help files and can't find anywhere where it tells you actually HOW to do this! Am I missing something obvious?

Hi

I wonder if you can help ?

We are doing some rough non invasive monititoring in factory.

We can calibrate the monitor units for UK single phase power, but will only be putting a clamp on one of the phases on the 3 phase - I know there are inaccuracies but what would be an appropriate multiplier factor for the power in a 415V 3 phase system top give teh power in this?

Thanks

The calculation for the L1 "Capacity Remaining" for the two 60A sheets are using the incorrect breaker values. They are using 40, but should be 45 and 48. Is it possible to add a sheet for a 100A feed?
